Mike Johnson serves as a catalyst to help people move from survival toward significance in their careers. He blends extensive coaching and corporate experience to help develop and empower others professionally and personally. He focuses on the areas of leadership development, employee engagement and development, and career management.
He has a diverse business background with over 35 years’ experience from a career in Information Technology with IBM - including systems, sales, marketing, application development and implementation, strategic planning, leadership, people management/professional development, organizational culture, and mentoring. He has worked with clients and segments across Healthcare (Provider-Health Systems, Payor, Pharmaceutical-Life Sciences), Public Sector, Insurance, Communications, Distribution, Finance and Manufacturing. Examples of Mike’s impact include co-developing marketing strategy and campaigns for a territory of Independent Software Vendors, which grew to contribute over 20% of tracked revenue; and managing account relationships, business development and communication at 10 leading IBM clients in Indiana, and a network of Business Partners nationwide.
After leaving IBM, Mike was led into the coaching arena. He has worked with hundreds of individuals seeking help with career exploration, advancement, mid-career transition/professional rediscovery, and with organizations focused on talent and leadership development. He works with people one-to-one and with universities, public and non-profit organizations, and multinational corporations, including:

Mike serves as Co-Director for Passport to Employment, an outreach to the unemployed, under-employed in the greater Indianapolis area. In 15+ years, “P2E” has helped 2,400 people find full-time employment.
He is a published author, including Survive and Thrive in Your Job Search: The Team Networking Group Process to Your Next Job, Abbott Press (co-author), and Editor, Passport to Employment Guidebook: Your Companion for the Journey to Employment, now in its seventh edition.
Mike is a Certified Professional Coach and member of the International Coaching Federation.
