Alpha Kappa Psi

James was initiated into Alpha Kappa Psi through the Delta Tau chapter at Canisius College (now Canisius University) in Spring 2010. As a collegiate member, he was involved in new member education and was Master of Rituals. James has been a fraternity volunteer since 2017, serving in numerous roles including chapter advisor, section director, and most recently Eastern Great Lakes Regional Director. He is a recipient of a first-degree silver Distinguished Service Award and has also served as a facilitator at several fraternity events, such as Principled Business Leadership Institute and Elevate. James holds B.A. degrees in Adolescence Education and Spanish, and a M.S.Ed. degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Professionally, he is a Spanish teacher in the Grand Island Central School District, just outside of Buffalo. In his free time, James enjoys exploring his native Western New York (Go Bills!), traveling, cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with his family, friends, and husband Kevin.
